Western Digital offers a
competitive and flexible benefits package which provides an allowance that can be used to
select your choice of the following benefits options. Eligibility for benefits begins the
first day of employment so there's no delay in coverage for you or your family.
- Multiple medical, dental, and vision plans to fit your
individual needs.
- Life and accident insurance for employees, plus family
coverage.
- Generous vacation time, floating holidays and company
holidays. Starting out, the Company pays for 8 standard holidays, you accrue 11 vacation
days and receive 2 optional floating holidays each year. With more years of service, more
paid time-off is available.
- A beneficial Employee Stock Purchase Plan allows payroll
deductions for the purchase of Company stock at below-market prices.
- The 401(k) Savings and Profit Sharing Plan allows you to
invest up to 14% of your earnings per plan year. The company also matches 50% of the first
5% you contribute annually. Full vesting in this company match occurs after 5 years.
- Health care and dependent care reimbursement accounts allow
you to contribute annual pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible health and day care expenses.
- Long-term disability options allow you to choose coverage
for up to 70% income continuance. Benefits begin after 90 days total disability.
- Short-term disability benefits begin on the 8th day of
disability and continue for up to 90 days. The benefit is 100% of weekly earnings. For
those with less than 2 years of service, coverage is reduced to 66 2/3% of weekly earnings
after 60 days of disability.
- The Employee Assistance Program provides free short-term
counseling and referral service.
- The Educational Reimbursement Program reimburses $3,000 per
fiscal year for graduate level courses, or $2,000 per fiscal year for undergraduate or
non-degree courses.
